17th International Symposium of the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise
Dear ASAPE Members and Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 17th International Symposium of the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise (ASAPE) in Hong Kong (ASAPE 2022). We are very grateful to the Faculty of Education and the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education for their support to make this international symposium happen.
ASAPE is constituted as the Asian branch of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA). ASAPE is an international scientific organization of researchers, scholars, practitioners, and students dedicated to the conduct, implementation, and dissemination of research in the practice of adapted physical activity (APA). The main purpose of ASAPE is to promote APA opportunities for all individuals with special needs across countries in Asia. ASAPE holds the international symposium biennially.
Hong Kong is a vibrant city and Special Administrative Region located southeast of Mainland China. The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education of The Chinese University of Hong Kong is the host and local organizer. We chose Hong Kong as the host city in the hope that ASAPE 2022 would attract a great deal of interest and participation by APA scholars and practitioners from Asian countries and regions, as well as from all parts of the world to share their work, exchange new ideas and cutting-edge research results, while enjoying a visit to Hong Kong.
ASAPE 2020 was cancelled due to the outbreak of COVID-19, which is regretful. We organize ASAPE 2022 in the faith that our life can return to 'normal' in August 2022, and hope to physically meet every one of you in Hong Kong.
I am looking forward to warmly welcoming you to ASAPE 2022!
