Dear Participants,

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the International Symposium of the Jockey Club “Sports without Limits” Youth Empowerment Programme cum ASAPE 2022 Hong Kong. Funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, this International Symposium is organized by the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education and Faculty of Education of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, co-organized by the Asian Society for Adapted Physical Education and Exercise (ASAPE); and supported by The Hong Kong Physical Education Teachers Society.

This International Symposium is one of the events in the Jockey Club “Sports without Limits” Youth Empowerment Programme. We are excited to co-organize this International Symposium with ASAPE, so as to synergize the project and research impact beyond Hong Kong. ASAPE is constituted as the Asian branch of the International Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (IFAPA). ASAPE is an international scientific organization of researchers, scholars, practitioners, and students dedicated to the conduct, implementation, and dissemination of research in the practice of adapted physical activity (APA). The main purpose of ASAPE is to promote APA opportunities for all individuals with special needs across countries in Asia. ASAPE holds the international symposium biennially.

In response to the latest pandemic situation, this International Symposium is now changed from a face-to-face to an online mode. We highly welcome APA scholars, educators, and practitioners from Hong Kong, Asian countries and regions, as well as from all parts of the world to share their work, exchange new ideas and cutting-edge research results.

There are updates on abstract submission deadline, registration fee, and conference programme. Also, please come register as a member of ASAPE to enjoy registration fee concession!
